What it does that most Notion calendars don’t
Before building it we looked at the best selling printable calendars on Etsy and the most copied calendars on Notion. The free Notion ones are plain tables you type into. The printables that sell come in Letter and A4, with weeks that start on Sunday or Monday, and the few bad reviews mention printing trouble or a month with the wrong number of days.

A page for every month
Each month from December 2026 to June 2028 opens to a larger calendar, a dated list of what’s happening and space for a focus and notes.

The age they turn and the weekday sit at the top. Below are their birth date, who they are to you and notes, a handy place for gift ideas.

How to use it through the year

Got a date? Click + Add event, name it, pick the day and a Type.

Set it up in about five minutes
Do this once. It’s easiest on a computer.

Buy it on Etsy and download the Start here PDF. Open the template link in it and click the Duplicate icon (two small squares) at the top. A free Notion account is enough.

Open Start here and click Clear sample data. The sample events and birthdays leave every view, and the US holidays stay.

Open Settings and pick Sunday or Monday. The year view and the month pages follow right away.

Click + Add event, type a name, pick the date and a Type. For a trip, turn on the end date.

Click + Add birthday and pick their real birth date, year included. Don’t know the year? Use 2027.

Open Printables and download the file for your paper size and week start.
Keep the five Type names as they are. The colors follow them, and a new name shows in blue.
Is it right for you?
A good fit if
- You want the whole year in view, not one month at a time.
- You keep track of birthdays, trips and family plans.
- You like a paper calendar on the wall or fridge too.
- Your week starts on Monday, or you print on A4.
Look elsewhere if
- You want it to sync with Google Calendar. Plans here are added in Notion.
- You schedule your day hour by hour. This is a calendar for the year.
- You need holidays for a country other than the US. You can add your own as Holiday.
- You want a fillable PDF to type into. The PDFs are made for printing and for apps that write on PDFs.
Questions
Does it work on the free Notion plan?
Yes. It runs on databases, formulas and buttons, and the free plan has all three.
Which months does it cover?
December 2026 to June 2028 in Notion, so it works for a school year too. The PDFs have the same 19 months, plus 2027 and 2028 at a glance and the 2027 to 2028 school year.
Can I print it on A4?
Yes. There are files for US Letter and for A4, each with a Sunday or Monday start, in three colors. In the print window, choose Actual size and type the pages you want.
Does the week start on Sunday or Monday?
Your choice. Pick it once in Settings and every month in Notion follows. For paper, download the Sunday or Monday file.
Can I hide the US holidays?
Yes. Click Hide US holidays on the Start here page, and Show US holidays brings them back. To add your own, add an event with the Type Holiday.
Does it sync with Google Calendar?
No. Notion databases don’t sync with Google Calendar on their own, so you add plans here. That keeps it simple and private.
How do birthdays work?
Add the person with their real birth date. The calendar shows the age they turn and the weekday, colors the day pink and lists the next ones on the main page. You add each person only once.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. Setup is easiest on a computer. In the Notion app, the year view shows one month per row, and adding a plan takes a few taps.
Where does the template go after I pay?
You download a Start here PDF from Etsy with the template link. Open the link and click the Duplicate icon at the top of the page, and the copy is yours. The printable PDFs are on its Printables page.
