What it does that most period trackers in Notion don’t

People open a period tracker with a simple question: when is my next period, and what day am I on? So the home page opens with a Today card that answers it from your own dates, and everything else is one click away.

  • Today, worked out for you

Your cycle day, phase, next period and fertile window update every day on their own.

  • Your own average

Your average cycle and period length come from the dates you add. Until there are two periods, it uses 28 days.

  • Two buttons, that’s all

Period started on day one, and + Log today for flow, symptoms, mood and energy.

  • Ideas for each phase

Four cycle syncing cards with gentle ideas for food, movement and plans.

We set it up from a fresh copy, the way you’ll get it: cleared the samples, clicked Period started and checked that the card read Day 1 and Menstrual phase, with a 28-day cycle until a second period was added.

What’s inside

The main page opens with Today and its two buttons, then this month’s calendar, your recent periods, the cycle syncing cards and your log.

The Today card

The day of your cycle, your phase, your next period with its date and your fertile window. If your period is late, it says so.

This month and recent periods

Four short steps in your copy, with pictures of where to click.

How to use it each day

  1. Open the main page and read the Today card.

  2. Click + Log today and pick your flow, symptoms and mood.

  3. On the first day of your period, click Period started.

  4. When it ends, open it and add the End date.

Set it up in about five minutes

You do this once, on a computer or your phone.

  1. Buy it on Etsy and download the Start here PDF. Open the template link in it and click the Duplicate icon (two small squares) at the top. A free Notion account is enough.

  2. Open Start here and click the button to clear the sample data.

  3. In Recent periods, click New and add your last period with its Start and End. Add two or three if you remember them.

  4. On the first day of each period, click Period started.

  5. Click + Log today to note your flow, symptoms, mood and energy.

Only remember one period? That’s fine. Until there are two, it uses a 28-day cycle, which you can change on the My cycle card.

Is it right for you?

A good fit if

  • You want to know your cycle day and when your next period is due.
  • You’d like to notice patterns, like headaches before your period.
  • You want one private place for this, in an app you already use.
  • You’re curious about cycle syncing and want simple ideas.

Look elsewhere if

  • You need birth control or help getting pregnant. This tracker isn’t made for either.
  • You want reminders. It doesn’t send any, so you open it yourself.
  • You need medical advice. Talk to a doctor about anything that worries you.

Questions

Does it work on the free Notion plan?

Yes, all of it.

How does it know when my next period is due?

It takes the dates you add, works out your average cycle and counts forward from your last start. Until you add two periods, it uses 28 days.

Can I use it as birth control?

No. The dates are estimates from your own history, and every body is different. Please don’t rely on it to prevent or plan a pregnancy.

Who can see my data?

Only you. Your copy lives in your own Notion workspace, and nobody else sees it unless you share it.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. Add the main page to Favorites in the Notion app, and logging a day takes a few seconds.

Where does the template go after I pay?

You download a Start here PDF from Etsy with the template link. Open the link and click the Duplicate icon at the top of the page, and the copy is yours to keep and change.
