Type a new budget or ROAS target and press Enter. Pacing and Decision use the template’s own rules.
Pacing, the Scale, Keep or Fix decision, the weekly log and the change log, filmed in the real template.
It’s made by a digital marketer who has managed ad budgets for 16 years. Before building it, we looked at the Google Ads templates people copy and buy most. The free ones are mostly audit checklists, and the ones that sell add budgets and reports. This one puts the numbers, the budget check and the next step on one page.
Spend so far is projected over the whole month and held against the budget: On pace, Over budget or Under budget, with the percentage.
The last four weeks of CPA and ROAS are checked against your targets and turned into a next step for each campaign.
Log a change or test and it comes due 14 days later. When it says Review now, mark it Better, Same or Worse.
You copy five numbers from Google Ads each week. There’s no login, no connector and no account access to give.
We set it up from a fresh copy, the way you’ll get it: cleared the samples, added campaigns, logged weeks with + Log week and checked Pacing, Decision, CPA and ROAS by hand. Any date you pick for a week moves to its Monday, so each week counts in one month only.
The main page holds This month, the weekly log, changes and tests, and keywords, with the toolkit pages below. Each campaign also opens to its own page.
Every campaign with its spend so far, monthly budget and Pacing, then ROAS and CPA over four weeks, your targets and the Decision.
One row per campaign per week with Impressions, Clicks, Cost, Conversions and Conv. value. CTR, CPC, CPA, ROAS and conversion rate work themselves out, and the Spend by week tab charts the spend.
Type, goal, account, budget and targets, with Decision and Pacing right under the name. Running ads for clients? Account keeps them apart.
Budget, bid strategy, keyword, ad copy, landing page, audience and A/B test changes, each with its review date and an outcome.
Winners, keyword ideas and negatives with their match type and campaign, so the next search terms review starts from a list.
One page for you or a client: a summary, this month against last, each campaign, what changed and what’s next. Duplicate it every month.
And four goals: Sales, Leads, Traffic and Awareness.
A monthly pass over tracking, budgets, keywords, ads, landing pages and Performance Max. About 30 minutes.
Headlines, descriptions and paths with a character count, so nothing gets cut off.
A made-up kettle shop shows how it all works. One button clears it, another brings it back.
Six short steps inside your copy, with pictures of where to click.
In Google Ads, open Campaigns and set the date range to last week, Monday to Sunday.
Click + Log week for each campaign and copy Impressions, Clicks, Cost, Conversions and Conv. value.
Read Pacing and Decision on the main page, and look at any change marked Review now.
Changed a budget, bid or ad? Click + Change or test so it gets a review date.
Do this once. It’s easiest on a computer, with Google Ads open next to it.
Buy it on the Notion Marketplace and add it to your workspace when Notion asks. A free Notion account is enough.
Open Start here and click Clear sample data. Anything you add yourself stays, and Bring back samples returns the kettle shop.
Open Campaigns and add one row per campaign with its Monthly budget, CPA target and ROAS target.
On the main page, click + Log week. Pick the week and the campaign, then copy the five numbers from Google Ads.
Read Pacing in This month once you’ve logged a week that starts this month.
When you change something, click + Change or test. Fourteen days later it shows Review now.
Running lead campaigns? Leave Conv. value empty and set only a CPA target. Decision then goes by CPA.
No. You copy five numbers per campaign each week, which takes about five minutes. There’s nothing to log in to and no account access to give.
Yes. The free plan allows one chart per workspace, so if you already use one, the Spend by week tab asks you to upgrade. The Weekly log table next to it has the same numbers.
It takes this month’s spend so far, works out the daily average from the weeks you’ve logged and projects it over the whole month. Between 90% and 110% of the budget counts as On pace.
It compares the last four weeks with your targets. Scale means CPA and ROAS both meet them. Fix means ROAS is more than 20% under target or CPA more than 25% over. Anything in between is Keep.
Yes. Give each campaign an Account, then filter or group the tables by it. Each client can get a copy of the Monthly report page.
Yes. Click a money column, choose Edit property and change the Number format.
